Ingredients
- 15-20 American Pecans + for garnish
- 2 litres full fat milk
- 1/8 tsp powdered alum
- 2 tbsps ghee + for greasing
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ tsp green cardamom powder
- 2 tbsps liquid glucose
Process
- Bring milk to a boil in a steel kadai. Add alum and cook on medium heat for 40 - 45 minutes or until the milk becomes grainy and begins to thicken.
- Reserve some American Pecans for garnish and transfer remaining in a grinder jar and grind to fine powder.
- Grease a burfi tray with some ghee.
- Add powdered pecans and sugar to the milk mixture and cook for 20-25 minutes.
- Add green cardamom powder, liquid glucose and 2 tbsps ghee and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture in greased burfi tray and arrange the reserved American Pecans on top.
- Set aside for 2-3 hours.
- Cut into squares and serve.
